The event took place in 520 voting centers, with a total of 3,300 polling tables and 5,100 voting machines. More than 1,200,000 voters used these machines. Since 2011, the province of Salta has progressively implemented this voting system, beginning in some municipalities and extending to the rest of the province. In 2015, a historic milestone was achieved in Argentina’s elections, as it was the first time a province elected its governor with 100% of the electoral roll using the BUE system.
