Republic of Paraguay: Complementary Municipal Elections
A total of 356,155 voters efficiently participated in the elections using the Electronic Single Ballot. With 1,202 polling stations across 76 locations and 1,700 machines, the system ensured a fast and secure process. Notably, the implementation of Home Voting restored the voting rights of citizens with severe physical disabilities, motor dysfunction, or serious health issues preventing them from attending polling stations. In this election, 51 voters were able to elect their mayors through this accessibility mechanism, underscoring the commitment to inclusion and accessibility in the democratic process.
